Serial killers and their Zodiac signs. Which star sign is the most common?

Not so long ago, I came across a video about serial killers and their respective Zodiac signs. The video in question was more of a “joke” than a factual list. The creator had clearly cherry-picked certain serial killers in order to make it seem as though one star sign was worse than the others.

However, it did get me thinking. Which star signs have the most serial killers? Although I don’t personally believe that a person’s Zodiac sign defines who they are, it is still an interesting argument to settle.

For instance, are Geminis more likely to become serial killers than Scorpios? Are Libras completely innocent? Or is Leo the real danger that we should be watching out for?

Which star sign has the most serial killers?

To figure all of this out, I compiled a list of 161 serial killers from 30 different countries. This list contains the worst serial killers who were born between 1900 and 2000. These are the killers with the highest number of probable murders.

After that, I then wrote a custom script that calculated each serial killer’s Zodiac sign.

So, without further ado, here are the results.

• Pisces: 19 serial killers.
• Scorpio: 17.
• Sagittarius: 17.
• Aquarius: 15.
• Capricorn: 15.
• Aries: 14.
• Cancer: 13.
• Taurus: 12.
• Gemini: 11.
• Leo: 10.
• Libra: 10.
• Virgo: 8.

As you can see in the list above, Pisces was the “worst” star sign for serial killers. In this list, 11.8% of serial killers were Pisces. This zodiac sign was followed closely by Scorpio and Sagittarius, both of which were 10.56%. Meanwhile, Virgo is the sign that had the least number of serial killers (4.97%).

What’s funny about this result is that the horoscope information for Pisces lists the sign as being “gentle” and “compassionate”. It is also said that they dislike “cruelty of any kind”.

They might want to rethink that overview.

Star signs of the worst American serial killers.

I also distilled the results down by American serial killers, just to see if the results were similar. In this case, 61 of the 161 people on my list were Americans (37.89%).

Here are the results:

• Pisces: 9 American serial killers.
• Scorpio: 8.
• Gemini: 8.
• Capricorn: 6.
• Aries: 5.
• Sagittarius: 5.
• Leo: 4.
• Virgo: 4.
• Aquarius: 3.
• Libra: 3.
• Taurus: 3.
• Cancer: 3.

Pisces still took the top spot (14.75%). However, Gemini jumped up a few places and Sagittarius dropped down into the middle. Furthermore, Virgo is no longer as “innocent”. Instead, serial killers in the USA were less likely to be Aquarius, Libra, Taurus or Cancer.

Be careful about drawing conclusions from statistics.

Does this mean that people who are born between February 19 and March 20 are more likely to become serial killers? I honestly doubt it.

Statistics can be a funny thing, and you can often bend them to suit a certain narrative. For example, we could look at the above figures and conclude that Pisces are more likely to be caught than Geminis. Similarly, we could also flip that statement around and say that Pisces are able to kill more people before authorities can put a stop to them.

Perhaps there are more Libra serial killers than any other star sign? Maybe they didn’t make it into this list of the “worst serial killers” because they all got caught after their second or third kill?

As you can see, there are multiple ways to interpret these “stats”. If I were to add another 161 serial killers to my list, it would probably change the results completely.

In other words, don’t read too much into this. These statistics were generated for fun. There are other, far more important, driving factors behind why serial killers kill.

A person in the comments section asked me to convert this list of serial killers into the Chinese zodiac system, which is made up of 12 different animals.

Without further ado, here are the results.

• Dragon: 20 serial killers.
• Pig: 19.
• Dog: 16.
• Rooster: 16.
• Rabbit: 15.
• Snake: 13.

• Goat: 11.

As you can see, the Dragon and Pig make up the top two, whereas the Monkey and Ox are at the bottom of the list.
